Planning the Termination
- We work with the organization to structure a clear plan for the termination meeting.
- Intervening with Support
- We meet with the individual to address immediate concerns and to apprise him/her of our services.
- Assisting with Financial Planning
- A qualified financial planner assists with the management of the severance and other related matters.
- Establishing Career Goals
- We provide a framework for the development of career plans and job targets; this may include psychometric testing.
- Preparing Reference Guidelines
- We assist in the preparation of positive references which are agreeable to both the organization and individual.
- Learning Job Search Skills
- We coach the individual in methods that are proven most successful; this includes identifying opportunities and approaching the job market through the use of direct mail, cold calls, networking, recruiters and responding to advertisements.
- Developing Written Communication Skills
- We help in the design of attention-getting resumés and letters.
- Developing Verbal Communication Skills
- We use video and one-on-one role-playing techniques to maximize the individual's oral skills in preparation for interviews and cold-calling.
- Examination of the Entrepreneurial Option
- For those participants contemplating self-employment, we provide guidance and counsel regarding ways to begin a business, business structure, business planning, and a basic checklist of mandatory licensing and registration requirements.
- Evaluating Prospects and Negotiating Compensation
- We assist in the assessment of opportunities with previously established career goals in mind, and we provide guidance as the new compensation package is negotiated.
